Emmanuel Church, Saltburn

‘The Echo Project ‘

The project consists of demolition and reinstatement of the single storey accommodation adjoining the existing Hall.
This will address the issues with the current layout and its structural failures.

The new build element creates a greater footprint area, creating three new multi function rooms, new wcs, disabled wc and a front office. From within the building the configuration allows each of the rooms to be accessed independently as well as accessing the hall to maximize the building flexibility. The three multi function rooms are positioned to encourage natural light and ventilation with each having a feature window looking back towards the church.

The proposal has aesthetic to marry the existing church hall and the church using a sandstone cladding this will create a synergy and a common building language between the three buildings.

The proposal creates a new ‘front door’ to attract and encourage the growing building user numbers. On Site 2010
